The company’s culture of innovation is reflected in its Plug & Play solution, which easily integrates with outlet POS systems for smooth and secure data collection.
The company’s ability to integrate and analyze sell-out data in real-time is central to its strategy for providing valuable insights, improving operational efficiency, and personalizing the customer experience.
We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the team and support the company in achieving its goals.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop: Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Python and other relevant tools.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., APIs, databases, flat files) into centralized data warehouses or data lakes.
- Data Modeling: Develop and manage transformations (e.g., DBT) to ensure data models are modular, maintainable, and performant.
- OLAP System Development: Design, implement, and optimize OLAP solutions for efficient analytical querying, including data cubes and aggregation strategies.
- Automation: Automate data collection, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes to ensure high data availability and reliability.
- Optimize Performance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for speed, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and other engineering teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure data solutions are compliant with relevant regulations and follow best practices for data security and data quality.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, particularly in optimizing complex queries for analytical workloads (OLAP).
- Hands-on experience with OLAP systems, including designing data cubes, aggregations, and schemas (e.g., star or snowflake schemas).
- Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Run).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
- Upper-intermediate English.
Would be a plus:
- Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools for managing GCP resources.
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Knowledge of streaming data frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Exposure to machine learning workflows and tools on GCP (e.g., Vertex AI).
- Familiarity with Looker or other data-viz tools
- Working proficiency in French.
