What You’ll Do
In this role, you will partner closely with internal cross-functional stakeholders, field teams, and end customers to define product requirements that address customer pain while providing compelling and differentiated value. You will:
- Own and manage priorities and backlogs for several product engineering teams while focusing on business outcomes tied to Teradata’s cloud product portfolio and strategic initiatives
- Elaborate roadmap initiatives into epics and business features with well-defined requirements and acceptance criteria
- Understand the scope of enabler work and collaborating with engineering to assist with decision making
- Collaborate with other product managers, product owners, architects, and designers across dependent scrum teams
- Participate in backlog grooming, lead epic readiness reviews, and be a key focal point in day-to-day technical development, execution, and performance metrics to deliver differentiated value
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to help refine product vision and prepare for execution
- Monitor and anticipate market trends, develop competitive assessments, and bridge business gaps by authoring technical requirements for engineering teams
- Help drive innovation at a technology company that has been leading the industry for over 40 years
Ultimately, you will ensure the delivery of an innovative offering and solution drawn from customer requirements, market validation, and measured by KPIs.
Who You Will Work With
Work closely with other Product Managers, Product Engineering, Product Marketing, Customer Support, Professional Services, Sales, and Operations to define the go-to-market plan and product collateral such as product descriptions, presentations, sales tools, and technical white papers.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
Must have a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Product lifecycle management in a software technology business
- Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms
- Defining cloud native user experiences
- Writing epics, features, user stories or process flows
- Experience or familiarity in data warehousing, data analytics, and business intelligence or offer/product
- Critical thinker with ability to research, prove hypothesis and sell ideas for strategic direction
- Ability to understand customer needs and market opportunities
