A Typical Day
- Kickstart the day: Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to align the team on priorities, identify blockers, and ensure progress toward sprint goals.
- Collaborate with Product Owners: Participate in product discovery calls to deeply understand problem statements, proposed solutions, and business objectives.
- Plan and refine: Assist in planning sprints, refining user stories, and maintaining a prioritized and clear product backlog.
- Resolve blockers: Actively remove impediments that slow down the team, whether they are technical, operational, or interpersonal.
- Enable team focus: Shield the team from distractions and scope creep, ensuring they remain aligned with sprint goals.
- Track progress and metrics: Monitor sprint velocity, completion rates, and other key metrics to identify areas of improvement and maintain momentum.
- Adapt to changes: Facilitate quick pivots as priorities shift, balancing long-term vision with immediate deliverables.
- Lean startup mindset: Support the team in delivering an MVP and iterating based on feedback, emphasizing value delivery with minimal waste.
- Multitask when needed: Assist with capacity planning, testing, documentation, and recruitment as part of our collaborative and hands-on culture.
- Foster communication: Promote alignment between product managers, developers, leadership, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and proactive risk management.
- Reflect and improve: Lead sprint retrospectives, ensuring the team adopts actionable feedback and continues to grow.
Your Expertise
- Scrum and Agile Practices: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban with the ability to adapt them to a dynamic startup environment.
- Facilitation Skills: Strong experience conducting daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives effectively.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving blockers to team progress.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to foster trust, facilitate open communication, and encourage constructive feedback.
- Adaptability: Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities such as capacity planning, recruitment, testing, and documentation.
- Metrics Focused: Capability to monitor team performance through lightweight metrics like velocity and cycle time to drive continuous improvement.
- Technical Background: A degree in computer science or a related field. Experience working with AI, NLP, or LLM products is a plus.
- Lightweight Tools: Streamline workflows using tools like Trello, Jira, or Notion, ensuring efficient backlog management without unnecessary overhead.
