Job Summary

The purpose of the position of Marketing Specialist/Website Content Specialist is first and foremost a client advisory role for our client’s website content, website performance optimization, analysis, and reporting.

As a team member, the person in this position will act as a content marketing and website optimization specialist who understands how to identify opportunities and develop solutions/recommendations to improve website performance & create compelling content to help drive leads/sales. S/he will have a keen understanding of Digital Marketing/SEO tactics and content development, work closely with external agency partners/clients to deliver improvement recommendations, and know how to properly communicate issues and opportunities up and down the internal client chain of command.

Scope of the Position: The nature of this position requires on-going and frequent interactions/communications with the client, external agency partners, and the company’s executive management. This position will interface directly with multiple senior client constituents & the company’s Executive staff daily.

Skills/Qualifications

Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: Review webpages and related files on our client’s website, looking for ways to improve SEO, while collaborating with subject matter experts and incorporating SEO agency feedback Monitor webpages and digital marketing collateral on the website to ensure content is fresh and resources are promoted on appropriate pages Strong writing skills to assist in the creation of new web page content and able to talk with subject matter experts to get ideas. Proofread and edit webpage and digital marketing collateral as part of the publishing and production process. Develop content for landing pages for campaigns, monitor for effectiveness, and suggest improvements where necessary. Create event specific pages to support pre- and post-event activities. Note: This is gathering the information and written copy, etc. The actual web page HTML creation work would be done by client’s web agency. Ensure that the website covers the client’s areas of importance (Satellite, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, etc.) Review web analytic reports and Google Analytics reports to make recommendations to improve the website and identify new opportunities.

Experience/Education: Minimum of 5 years of website optimization, content creation & digital marketing/SEO experience is required. Working knowledge of business-to-business marketing required Understanding of satellite industry & networking services a plus College degree preferred.
