About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated architect and health facility planner to join our national team in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney, playing a key role in the delivery of critical social infrastructure—particularly within the health and science sectors. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team of project leaders and specialists, shaping environments that have a lasting social impact. Your ability to drive design integrity, maintain strong client relationships, and produce high-quality project documentation will be crucial to our success.
- Delivering architectural design and documentation for highly complex projects, with a specific focus on Health & Science Projects.
- Recent and demonstrable experience in designing and planning of Health environments will be highly regarded.
- Partnering with the project team to understand and develop the client brief, while establishing direct communication with clients and contractors.
- Partner with project leads to develop design intent and ensuring the maintenance of design excellence.
- Working in a collaborative environment with the internal project team.
- Managing the delivery of approved technical and design documents.
- Inputting and performing network development, knowledge management, employee mentoring, operational improvement, and design review processes initiatives.
About You
We are excited to welcome someone with the following qualifications:
- Lead the architectural design and documentation process for highly complex Health & Science projects, ensuring that the resulting environments are both aesthetically compelling and operationally efficient.
- As an experienced Health Facility Planner/Architect you will focus on the functionality, operational efficiency, departmental relationships, and infection control measures that define effective healthcare environments. You will leverage your expertise to ensure infrastructure is sustainable, adaptable, safe, and accessible.
- Develop a thorough understanding of client briefs, maintain direct communication channels, and foster positive relationships with clients and contractors.
- Collaborate with project leads to uphold design excellence, continuously refining concepts to respond to user needs, regulatory requirements, and best-practice industry standards.
- Work seamlessly within an internal project team of architects, engineers, and health consultants, ensuring all perspectives align to create enduring, purpose-driven health facilities.
- Manage and deliver all approved technical and design documentation, meeting quality, schedule, and budget targets while ensuring the project’s operational objectives and health-specific standards are integrated throughout.
- Contribute to network development, knowledge sharing, mentoring, operational improvement, and design review initiatives, bolstering the team’s collective expertise in delivering cutting-edge health infrastructure projects.
- 5+ years post-graduate experience, architectural registration preferred.
- Demonstrated experience on Health and Hospital projects.
- Exemplary design communication skills to convey design concepts through imagery and diagrams.
- Fluent in Revit and dRofus
