Senior Industrial Designer | Journe Brands | Australia
Join Journe Brands and shape the future of sustainable homewares and lifestyle products. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Industrial Designer to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Design & Marketing, the Senior Industrial Designer will get the opportunity to work on the entire product development process from sketches, CAD, rendering, through to tooling development and manufacturing.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching local and international markets to identify new trends and innovations.
- Generating concept designs with your experienced Solidworks surfacing skills.
- Collaboration with tooling engineers to move projects through to manufacturing.
- Rendering 3D CAD models in keyshot.
Qualifications:
- Must have great Solidworks surfacing skills.
- Must have – Industrial Design or Product Design Tertiary qualification. Please note that we are not looking for mechanical engineers.
- 5 years industry experience, aside from experience gained at university.
- Good Keyshot, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing requirements and constraints to do with the manufacturing of products.
- Commercial mindset with a customer centric approach.
- A desire to work as a part of a team.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- You don’t mind getting your hands dirty and have a “no job is too small” attitude.
