We’re looking for a skilled Software Engineer Site Lead to help drive transformation in a fast-evolving industry. In this role, you’ll take charge of developing and optimizing backend services, ensuring the platform is both efficient and scalable. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful solutions that shape the future of the business.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js
• A solid understanding of service-oriented or modular systems
• Experience in API design and development, with a focus on best practices and scalability
• Strong expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL, with an ability to design efficient databases
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as AngularJS and React
• Hands-on experience with ORM Frameworks (e.g. Sequelize) 
• A solid background in refactoring and optimizing codebases
• A hands-on experience with version control best practices
• Experience working in Agile environments with tools like JIRA
• Demonstrated ability to approach complex challenges with strong problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in team environments
• Proven adaptability in dynamic settings focusing on delivering high-quality solutions

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role, such as technical lead, senior developer, or lead engineer
• A demonstrated ability to guide and support a development team

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and ORM tools such as Sequelize
• Contribute to the frontend development process by transitioning from legacy frameworks (e.g., AngularJS) to modern solutions (e.g., React)
• Drive codebase modernization by refactoring existing logic and improving the overall quality of the code
• Work collaboratively with the team to optimize database performance, leveraging SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Implement and maintain automated tests to ensure the stability and reliability of the system
• Drive performance optimization efforts and conduct benchmarking to ensure high system efficiency
• Adhere to version control best practices, ensuring proper code management and smooth collaboration across teams
