Senior Platform Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and microservices. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing the technical foundation that powers our products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance while optimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement technical solutions to meet immediate business goals while maintaining flexibility for future requirements.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning across our cloud footprint using tools like Terragrunt and Terraform.
• Build, maintain, and support our Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline developer workflows and accelerate delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build systems that enable rapid deployment of new services, iterative feature development, and improved system reliability.
• Optimize the performance, reliability, and cost of our infrastructure.
• Support and enhance existing infrastructure while building new capabilities.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience working in a distributed microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with modern relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Strong software engineering skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, PHP, Ruby, Go, .NET).
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms and architectural patterns (experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus).
• Experience building and managing Kubernetes clusters using managed services like GKE or EKS.
• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong conceptual understanding of networking and the OSI model.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Flexibility to contribute in different technical domains to achieve business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, including automation with tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible.
• 3-5 years of experience developing software applications in an enterprise setting.
• Hands-on experience with PHP and frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
