About this opportunity
The iTero Territory Manager will be based in Auckland, New Zealand and responsible for overseeing the indirect and direct sales of the iTero portfolio of products, establishing account relationships in the assigned territory as well as developing and managing distributors and lab relationships.
Role In this role, you will…
Customer Management
- Achieve Operational Plan in line with company and country strategic objectives
- Manage accounts in assigned territory on a quarterly basis, with specific action plans depending on customer type
- Establish account relationships with customers and potential customers
- Identify and resolve customer issues and concerns
- Support the educational pathway and practice development
- Develop relationship with existing and potential customers
Business Development
- Build and grow the direct Invisalign customers and indirect restorative eco-system for iTero in NZ
- Establish commercial partnerships to grow iTero outside the Orthodontics space
- Work with the ANZ Align Technology Sales Managers to set Operational plan for future periods
- Market the Align products portfolio as a clear differentiator from the competition
- Provide creative and innovative solutions to support customers in obtaining the Align products and technology
- Coordinate and attend customer events, conferences and trade shows to promote the iTero portfolio and drive growth
Business Planning
- Identify customers with highest profitability opportunity
- Balance the short term operational needs with the long term organizational needs of the business
- Ensure effective and detailed account management and territory planning
- Provide ongoing analysis of market and competition, and adjust strategies to win market share
- Develop an innovative business strategy to position Align as market- and innovation-leader
In this role, you’ll need …
The Territory manager should look upon their sales area as ‘my own business’ and be willing to take responsibility for its planning and development and growth business.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of consistent on target performance in the medical device/healthcare industry, be passionate about sales and have a high level of business acumen. They will build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage of our products and gain greater market share by focusing on high value activity and selling.
To Be Successful, You Will
- Have substantial experience in sales and business development within medical device industry
- Prior experience with capital equipment sales
- Be project oriented or have a project driven background with a hands-on, roll up the sleeves attitude
- Able to maintain a strong customer focus in the context of the business strategy
- Effective problem – solving and mediation skills
- Natural ability to spot business opportunities and to persuade and influence others
- Enjoy working autonomously whilst collaborating and contributing to a broader team
- A high level of time management and planning capabilities
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Product launch, area sales planning and forecasting required
- Advanced presentation and negotiation skills. Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
- Education to degree level with BS or BA is preferred and/or equivalent experience
- The ability to travel regularly within New Zealand to meet the needs of customers. This will require work outside of standard operating hours, including evenings and weekends.
