Job Description:

Orangepeople is seeking a dynamic and skilled Tech Support Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role requires a tech-savvy professional with a passion for problem-solving and customer support. The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of technologies, including operating systems, G Suite administration, ticketing tools (Zoho), AWS infrastructure, networking, and basic web development. Flexibility in working hours is a must to support our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating Systems Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • G Suite Administration: Manage and support G Suite accounts, user provisioning, security settings, and issue resolution.
  • Zoho Ticketing System Management: Administer and manage the Zoho support system, ensuring timely response and resolution of tickets.
  • AWS Infrastructure Support: Utilize AWS certifications to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure.
  • Networking Support: Diagnose and resolve basic networking issues, including LAN/WAN configurations, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Web Development Assistance: Provide basic support for web applications, perform troubleshooting, and collaborate with developers for issue resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, issue resolutions, and system configurations.
  • Customer Support: Respond to technical queries, provide exceptional service, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in technical support or IT operations.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with G Suite administration and tools.
  • Working knowledge of Zoho ticketing systems.
  • AWS Certified (at least foundational certification; associate-level preferred).
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP, DNS, VPNs).
  • Exposure to web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different time zones as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or certifications.
  • Knowledge of additional ticketing systems or IT service management tools.
