Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Automotive System Engineer – ADAS. Role Summary: The Automotive System Engineer for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating ADAS technologies into vehicle platforms. The role demands expertise in networking, electronics, vehicle systems, and communication protocols. Collaboration with stakeholders from infotainment, brakes, BCM (Body Control Module), and other ECUs is crucial to ensure seamless functionality and system performance. Responsibilities: 1. System Design and Development: • Develop and implement ADAS features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, etc. • Create system-level architecture and functional designs integrating various ECUs. 2. Networking and Communication Protocols: • Design and validate in-vehicle networking solutions, including Ethernet and CAN communication. • Develop communication strategies between ADAS systems and other vehicle ECUs. 3. Integration and Testing: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ADAS systems into the vehicle platform. • Conduct system validation and verification using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration: • Work with infotainment, brakes, BCM, and other ECU teams to ensure compatibility and seamless integration. • Coordinate with suppliers for ADAS component sourcing and development. 5. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: • Implement diagnostic strategies for ADAS systems, leveraging CAN and other diagnostic tools. • Resolve system-level issues related to ADAS functionalities. Knowledge / Experience: Technical Skills: 1. Networking and Communication: • Strong knowledge of automotive Ethernet, CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and FlexRay protocols. • Experience with diagnostic protocols such as UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services). 2. Electronics and Embedded Systems: • Proficiency in electronic circuit design and embedded systems. • Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators used in ADAS. 3. ADAS Technologies: • Understanding of radar, lidar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. • Familiarity with perception algorithms and sensor fusion techniques. 4. Software Development: • Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for embedded systems programming. • Experience with AUTOSAR frameworks and real-time operating systems (RTOS). 5. Tools and Simulation: • Expertise in using CANalyzer, CANoe, and Vector tools. • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation. Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers. • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Stakeholders: 1. Infotainment Systems: Integration of ADAS alerts and data into the vehicle’s infotainment interface. 2. Brake Systems: Collaboration for systems like autonomous emergency braking (AEB). 3. Body Control Module (BCM): Synchronization with central vehicle control functions. 4. Other ECUs: Coordination with powertrain, steering, and suspension ECUs for holistic ADAS functionality. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. • Industry certifications in automotive systems, networking, or embedded systems (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE). • 3–5 years of experience in ADAS system development or a related field. This profile combines technical and collaborative skills to deliver state-of-the-art ADAS solutions, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and compliance with automotive industry standards.
