Mutual of Omaha’s Data engineers focus on data warehouses (Teradata / Snowflake), development (Python) and data integration with our next-gen insurance and financial applications as we move to AWS cloud. You will improve how millions of people interact with our products, the way business partners support our customers and use data, as well as explore new technologies to better meet those needs.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Compensation (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
- Engineer I: $95,000 – $115,000, plus annual bonus
- Engineer II: $115,000 – $130,000, plus annual bonus
- Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
- Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2025, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
- Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2025, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2025 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable data systems, pipelines, and models to support analytics and operational data needs.
- Collaborate with business owners and enterprise partners to optimize data collection, storage, usage, and production environments.
- Implement and maintain data orchestration pipelines, including sourcing, cleansing, augmentation, and quality control processes.
- Translate business needs into scalable data architecture solutions and deploy applications to production environments.
- Develop, test, and integrate new data features and functionality in collaboration with product owners and business teams.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Professionally impacted solution development and implementation over the last three or more years with:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) – preferably with Glue, Lambda and Athena
- Programming with Python (preferably with CDK)
- Teradata or Snowflake, Informatica (ETL), Relational Databases, SQL, Multiple Scripting Languages (Unix / Window), API Integration
- Data Warehouse Design, Data Modeling and Integration
- Ability to maintain data quality through systematic approaches and methodologies (e.g. MDM) within supported data systems.
- Understands the Agile mindset and iterative development process.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

- Pipeline Deployments (Jenkins and GitHub)
- Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
- Extract, Load, Transform (ELT)
