Job Purpose: Involvement in the planning, design, implementation, testing and communication of the disaster recovery plans and processes. DR L3 Engineer will participate in the technical design of the Disaster Recovery architecture and technology. DR L3 Engineer will participate in the engineering support, installation and/or operations of infrastructure technologies to implement plans in the event of a crisis. Essential Functions: 20% – Participate in the efforts of relevant Infrastructure, Customer, and other leaders in developing, documenting, and validating Disaster Recovery procedures & plans 40% – Effectively collaborate with internal IT staff and customer representatives in scheduling and implementing disaster recovery testing 10% – Participate and assist in Disaster Recovery incident response 15% – Create and Maintain internal process and procedural documentation 5% – Assist with other activities as required to develop and maintain the Disaster Recovery Service 10% – Perform other duties as assigned Education: Two years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate’s Degree or equivalent Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses: None required, but Zerto, Vcenter, or other IT-related certs are a plus Relevant Work Experience: 5 to 7 years in related field Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 5+ years of experience in an IT-related operational support role, in complex, multi-vendor, multi-discipline environments Experience communicating with managers, operational staff, customers and vendors in a diverse environment Experience with Disaster Recovery technologies such as Zerto, Data Protection technologies is required Small-scale project planning experience is required Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have employee direct reports but does serve as a “lead” role for others doing similar work Work Environment: Work performed from home office, with occasional/infrequent visits to corporate offices, customer locations, or datacenters,
