Exciting Contract Opportunity for an Oracle Database Developer

Your new role

One of our clients is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer who is proficient in the development of Oracle tables and views for applications and integration purposes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PL/SQL, Oracle packages, and functions to meet various requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database tables and views.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, and functions.
• Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions with applications.
• Ensure data integrity and security through effective database design and management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
• Create and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices.

What you’ll need to succeed

Essential:

• Candidate should be in Australia (mandate)
• Candidate should have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer (mandate)
• 5+ years of working experience in PL/SQL, Oracle packages, and functions (mandate)
• Mandatory experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle database tables and views.
• Experience with database design, development, and optimization.
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
• Experience with Oracle APEX or other Oracle development tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
