We are currently working with an international Vision Care Business, who is looking to hire a Head of Sales Vision Care for Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to deliver growth in sales and market share above the market trend
  • Gain new customers, buying groups and chains, grow existing ones by increasing velocity, distribution and price
  • Set territory sales goals in line with the operating plan and track progress concerning achievement
  • Create a sales Incentive plan in line with the DACH process
  • Contribute to the commercial strategy with customer insights
  • Manage a team of 6 sales reps
  • Forecasting on a monthly base (channel report)
  • Guides and monitors the achievement of sales goals across Switzerland
  • Implements tools and systems to monitor the marketplace and competitor activities
  • Drives initiatives which deliver improved levels of sales
  • Owns significant national account negotiations
  • Drive performance culture in line with organisation
  • Ensure adherence to group compliance and business ethics
  • Provide daily direction and high-quality leadership and operational management to his/her direct reports
  • Establish alignment with senior management and peers
  • Take a proactive role in optimizing company processes
  • Ensure accountability and teamwork
  • Provide opportunities for personal growth through coaching and feedback
  • Directly manage the team to ensure alignment and consistency of activities with company priorities
  • Effectively collaborate with Finance, Customer Service, HR business

Requirements:

  • Commercial degree essential
  • Fluency in European languages (German, English – ideally French and Italian)
  • Optical / eye care background
  • 5-10 years sales experience within a multinational healthcare organisation
  • 5 years of experience in management and leadership
  • Travel approximately 70%
  • High-energy, results-oriented professional
  • Able to drive significant improvements in sales execution/SFE, measured by their impact on market share growth
  • He/she must have the capability to translate strategic goals into day-to-day operational excellence and be able to redesign the selling model
  • Ability to understand, anticipate and respond to the needs of customers in the short, medium and long term
  • Ability to analyse market forces and positions
  • Knows the competitor’s strengths, weaknesses and opportunities
  • Ability to make short-term decisions which are in line with the interests of the longer-term vision of the company
  • Ability to balance different stakeholder needs and to find positive solutions, in line with strategy
  • Ability to build and leverage mutually beneficial relationships and networks internally and externally
  • Ability to build strong teams across geographies and functions that work together to a common objective
  • Ability to initiate and manage change, and the ability to build change capability throughout the organisation
