finished product enjoyed by people around the world. Seeking a talented backend engineer to

join our start-up and grow into a leadership role.

Job Description: InvestMates is seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to join

our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building

scalable microservices, experience with SQL databases, and familiarity with Docker,

Kubernetes, and Redis. A willingness to learn Golang and other new technologies is

essential.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices that power our

platform.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

● Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

● Optimise and refactor existing code to improve reliability and scalability.

● Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes.

● Work with SQL databases to design schemas, write queries, and perform

optimizations.

● Utilise Redis for caching and other performance enhancements.

● Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.

● Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and be willing to learn Golang

and other new programming languages as required.

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent

practical experience.

● 4+ years of professional experience in backend development.

● Strong experience with microservices architecture and development.

● Proficient in SQL and database design.

● Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.

● Knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized

applications.

● Familiarity with Redis and its use cases in modern web applications.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team

environment.

● Willingness to learn Golang and other new technologies as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience with Golang or a strong desire to learn and use Golang in production.

● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP , Azure).

● Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

● Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Open T elemetry etc).

● Understanding of security best practices in software development.
