Senior Frontend Engineer (Remote)

In 2023, we raised 15 million in Series A funding led by Volition Capital allowing us to add to our team and further our mission of helping publishers do what they do better. With over 1600 sites and apps using our tech, we currently have over 1 trillion ads served to date, and over 1 billion ad impressions daily. With the recent acquisition of Hashtag Labs, we only expect this number to continue to grow exponentially. The Opportunity:

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation of our web-based ad tech solutions. You will work with modern frontend frameworks, including React and Vue, to deliver responsive, high-performance, and visually compelling user experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring complex ideas to life and ensure our products remain at the forefront of the industry.

Some Challenges you’ll tackle:

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and responsive frontend applications.
• Work with design and product teams to transform UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect user interfaces.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and usability across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in frontend development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend technologies and frameworks, providing thought leadership in their adoption.
• Drive technical decisions and contribute to architectural discussions to ensure robust and maintainable systems.
• Ensure accessibility and usability standards are met in all deliverables.

The Skillset:

• Passion: You should possess a deep passion for UI/UX design and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, preferably in ad tech or a related industry.
• Frontend Technologies: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Framework Expertise: Hands-on experience with React and Vue.js, with deep knowledge of their ecosystems (e.g., Vuex, Redux, React Router, Node & NextJS).
• UI Libraries & Tools: Familiarity with libraries such as Material-UI, Vuetify, and TailwindCSS.
• Performance Optimization: Demonstrated expertise in optimizing applications for speed, scalability, and efficiency. Proficiency in preventing, identifying, and resolving memory leaks is essential.
• Testing: Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools like Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Accessibility: Strong understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) standards and best practices.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude toward tackling challenges and owning large projects and applications.
• Team Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in the ad tech space, with an understanding of programmatic advertising and data visualization.
• Familiarity with state management libraries like Zustand, MobX, or Pinia.
• Experience with modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Parcel.
• Knowledge of backend technologies, languages, and API design (e.g., Node, NextJS, Golang, REST) is a plus.
