We are expanding our team and seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant who can uphold our standards of excellence and drive the growth of our firm.
Role Overview
The Cybersecurity Consultant will play a key role in delivering expert advisory and consultancy services to clients, focusing on cyber gap assessments, business impact analysis, cloud migration security, incident response, cyber event visibility, and access control enhancements. You will leverage your technical expertise and industry knowledge to identify vulnerabilities, design security frameworks, and provide actionable recommendations to improve clients’ security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments to identify gaps and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and deliver remediation plans and security frameworks.
- Perform Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to evaluate the impact of cyber risks.
- Support cloud migration efforts by defining security principles and architectural frameworks.
- Review and update disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) plans.
- Facilitate cyber incident response exercises, including war room and tabletop activities.
- Configure and manage endpoint protection, SIEM, and patch management tools.
- Develop access control policies and procedures for user access management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications: One or more relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or CompTIA Security+.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, audit, or advisory roles.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), endpoint protection (Microsoft Defender), SIEM configuration, and incident response methodologies.
Familiarity with Standards: In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, documentation, and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex technical environments and develop practical, effective solutions.
Attention to Detail: Ability to document and analyse gaps, risks, and control deficiencies with precision.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting cybersecurity gap assessments and preparing remediation plans.
Proficiency in cloud security architecture, frameworks, and controls.
Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Azure Update Management, and SIEM platforms.
Prior experience in facilitating tabletop exercises, playbooks, and war room incident response activities.
