Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

At Aibidia, we provide international businesses across the world the technology that enables them to make more considered transfer pricing decisions. We work with companies like Volvo, Nokia, Remote, and Genan helping them with our end-to-end data platform that brings a common language to cross-border business management.

Currently, we are building a unified data ingestion experience to serve all Aibidia Platform Solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer or Senior Data Engineer, you will have a pivotal role in designing and optimizing the data management solutions on the Aibidia Platform.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of both data engineering and software development. You will work collaboratively with our other Solution teams, providing them with the building blocks to deliver a consistent data management experience across the Aibidia Platform.

Your job in a nutshell:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and define data requirements for international taxation processes. In this role, you would be working with the whole 25-people R&D department of Aibidia, and also with our customers.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment of data solutions with international tax compliance and data protection standards like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Build data pipelines with external services through APIs.
• Enforce data security measures, including encryption and access controls.
• Implement and optimize data models to enable seamless data synchronization across the Aibidia Platform Solutions. Our solution is cloud native. You can read more about our platform here.

In order to succeed in the role, these are some of the must-haves:

• Proficiency in designing and implementing complex system integrations.
• You have a strong experience in Python and related libraries as well as relational databases.
• You’ve worked with data integrations for different customers with big data sets.
• You have a good understanding of cloud architecture and software architecture.
• You have previous experience with data modeling and database optimization in data-intensive environments or industries.
• You’ve worked with and understand financial data (for example have experience in FinTech).
• You have great communications skills in English and ability to work in a cross-functional team.

To absolutely rock the position, these are some of the nice-to-haves:

• Experience in implementing version control for data artifacts
• Expertise in data migration strategies
• Familiarity with machine learning integration
• Knowledge and experience in integration and extraction of data from ERPs (SAP, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, D365)
