Fullstack Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a Fullstack Engineer (Google Cloud Platform and GIT) to join our team.

Responsibilties:

• Work with the EA Product team to develop front-end apps and components and/or develop back-end APIs, server side functions and apps.
• Collaborate with the EA team to brainstorm new features, design their key elements and bring to life through prototyping and user testing.
• Challenge “the way it normally is done” and look for creative ways to build and have impact on EA, our team and our small business entrepreneurs.
• Have a blast working with a diverse team with various perspectives and skill sets who love having fun and putting user’s first in all our decisions.

Build for scaling by:

• Setting up, integrating and monitoring EA’s platform external APIs and services.
• Establishing repositories and workflows for continuous integration.
• Troubleshooting issues across the stack from frontend bugs to server issues.
• Leverage the latest web technologies to build more scalable yet personalized products.
• Build cool products, test them rigorously and always be hungry to make improvements that help our users be better entrepreneurs.

Requirements

• Built a product(s) and launched them into the world regardless of scale.
• 4+ years of cumulative experience developing outside of school.
• “Go-to” capability and understanding of Javascript programming language and frameworks either Front-end or Back-end (nodeJS) or both.
• Worked with multi-disciplinary teams that are non-technical and have a strong appreciation for user-centered design.
• A creative mindset in solving technical and non-technical problems.

A mix of experience with some of the following:

• Web dev technologies, tools and languages.
• Web-based databases (noSQL, MySQL, etc) and/or GraphQL.
• Serverless functions, virtualization and/or container technologies.
• Google Cloud Platform (and Firebase) or similar services.
• Experience in agile development, using GIT and continuous integration.
• Some understanding of accessibility, data privacy and security compliance best practices.
