Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform. You will work with a talented team to deliver innovative mobile solutions while maintaining high performance, security, and usability standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, hands-on experience using Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, and Rest APIs, and solid knowledge of MVVM, MVC, and MVP architectural patterns. This is a fully remote position, so excellent communication and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Work with Android SDK to create high-performance mobile applications.
• Integrate Rest APIs for data exchange and communication between the mobile app and backend services.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Utilize architectural patterns like MVVM, MVC, and MVP for clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Write unit tests to ensure the robustness of applications.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve app functionality and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Android development with a strong command of Android SDK.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Extensive experience working with Rest APIs for backend communication and data integration.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, MVC, and MVP architectural patterns.
• Experience with SQLite and other databases to manage app data locally.
• Familiarity with modern Android development tools like Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
• Knowledge of third-party libraries and APIs to enhance app functionality.
• Strong debugging and optimization skills to improve app performance.
• Experience in integrating apps with cloud services and APIs.
• Understanding of Android’s UI/UX principles and designing responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup and manage deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desired Skills (Optional but Beneficial):

• Experience with Android Jetpack components.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Firebase services.
• Understanding of cloud-based architectures like AWS or Google Cloud.
