The Director of Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of PFF+, focusing on increasing subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention through innovative, data-driven marketing strategies.


Position Overview:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for shaping and executing PFFs marketing strategy, with a primary focus on scaling PFF+ subscriptions. This role involves collaborating across departments, leading a dynamic marketing team, and leveraging data and consumer insights to build impactful marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in subscription-based or digital product marketing and a passion for sports and analytics.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Drive the development and execution of PFFs marketing strategy, focusing on the growth and retention of PFF+ subscribers.
    • Lead strategic planning sessions with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive marketing plans that align with company objectives.

  • Campaign Development & Execution:

    • Develop and execute integrated, omni-channel marketing campaigns that drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement of PFF+.
    • Ensure campaigns are rolled out across all channels in an organized and cohesive manner.
    • Align all marketing communications across campaigns and oversee creative asset development for various platforms, including digital, social, and email.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Leverage market insights, subscriber data, and marketing tools to develop consumer-relevant marketing initiatives.
    • Partner with product and analytics teams to refine attribution models, ensuring the effectiveness of marketing efforts in driving conversions.
    • Identify consumer trends that pave the way for product and marketing innovation in the fantasy football and betting spaces.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:

    • Collaborate with product, business development, and engineering teams to ensure seamless rollout of marketing initiatives across the organization.
    • Collaborate with the Media team to optimize the pipeline from media audience to PFF+ subscribers, ensuring continuous growth and engagement.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage and mentor a growing team of marketing professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Set performance goals, establish priorities, and conduct regular evaluations to support team growth and accountability.

  • Budget Oversight & Optimization:

    • Manage multiple marketing budgets, ensuring spend aligns with business priorities and delivers maximum ROI.
    • Track and report on campaign performance, identifying areas for optimization to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Impactful Communication
    • Work closely with the management team to craft and deliver high-quality internal and external communications that align with PFFs vision and strategy.
    • Ensure all communications reflect PFFs brand voice and effectively engage key stakeholders, including employees, partners, and subscribers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, ideally with a focus on digital products, subscriptions, or SaaS within the sports industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Passion for football and familiarity with PFFs products and vision.
  • Desire to win.
