~ A DAY IN YOUR ROLE ~

THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE EXPERIENCE IN PLASTICS, METAL WOOD AND INJECTION MOLDING

Take ownership of complex projects; drive timelines, organize information, communicate key milestones, and execute final deliverables.

Ability to be customer facing when necessary.

Provide installation instructions, both video and 2D requirements

Assist on supporting both design and engineering tasks when needed to help balance workloads.

Collaborate with our creative and marketing teams to stay on brand and share skill sets.

Understand the company’s typical manufacturing methods to offer competitive design solutions

Value engineering of existing product offerings to improve margin

Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Takes direction from the Technical Design Manager but is self-sufficient in researching customer objectives and aligning with sales to execute on deliverables.

Contributes to engineering direction, delivers ideas to explore with the team. Takes ownership of larger projects and is confident with decisions.

Assist in development of the technical design team’s project skills.

Deliver design decks and quotation level documentation to customers using SolidWorks through strong design and technical skills. a. Sketching, 3D CAD, Rendering and 2D creative suites.

Illustrate design and engineering direction to a broad audience including designers, merchants, buyers and strategic sourcing individuals. a. Ability to tell the best story for the correct audience.

~ WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM ~

Bachelor’s degree in design engineering, engineering, product design, or a combination of education and experience

5+ years of experience in product design and manufacturing

SolidWorks 3D CAD or other computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software required
