Front End Developer – Craft&Crew is seeking an Intermediate WordPress & Webflow Developer to join our in-house team. Fully remote in eastern Ontario.
WHAT YOU’LL DO – Responsibilities
In this front-end role, you will collaborate closely with our Lead Developer, Director of UX, Project Managers, and UI design teams.
You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining a wide variety of WordPress and Webflow websites, ensuring high performance, accessibility, and security for our clients. Collaboration, quality assurance, and following established processes will be key parts of your role as a front end developer at Craft&Crew.
- WordPress Development: Build and maintain enterprise-level WordPress websites, ensuring they are performant, scalable, accessible, and secure.
- Webflow Development: While prior experience with Webflow is not mandatory, you will be expected to learn and apply your development expertise to this growing platform.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Lead Developer, Director of UX, Project Managers, and UI design teams to translate wireframes, functional specs, and UI designs into functional websites.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all websites are responsive, accessible, and optimized across various devices and browsers.
- Process Adherence: Follow and contribute to our established development standards and processes refined over more than a decade.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of best practices, developments, and trends in web and mobile technology.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING – Qualifications
We’re looking for a developer with 5+ years of enterprise-level WordPress experience, strong front-end skills, and the ability to adapt and learn. You should demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of enterprise-level (or equivalent) website development in an agency or consultancy environment, primarily focusing on WordPress.Ample experience with PHP-based content management systems for large-scale sites (as opposed to small business websites).
- Technical Skills: Strong front-end development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with responsive design principles.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and grow expertise in Webflow (prior experience not required).Passionate about staying ahead of best practices and trends in web and mobile technology.
- Process Adherence: Demonstrated ability to adhere to established development standards and processes.Demonstrated ability to maintain a schedule of work that ensure that assigned tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your ability to code cleanly, solve technical challenges, and transform great designs into high-polish websites (we’ll ask you to walk us through a sample or two).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to digest stakeholder goals, wireframes, functional specs, and UI designs, translating these into usable, responsive, and accessible experiences.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage clients and team members effectively.
- Team Player: Desire to improve, grow, and adapt with feedback and experiences, becoming the best team player possible. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT – Bonus Points
Experience with Webflow, Craft CMS, modern tools (Twig, Sass, Webpack, etc.), accessibility standards, and bilingualism (English/French) are great to have but not required.
- Webflow experience: Prior experience developing and/or designing websites in Webflow.
- Familiarity with Craft CMS: or an interest in learning it.
- Beyond WordPress: Experience with a variety of content management systems.
- Familiarity with tools and workflows: Such as Twig, Sass, Webpack, Git, ACF, Gulp, Vue, AlpineJs, and/or Tailwind CSS.
- Web Accessibility: Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.X AA) and testing.
- A good ‘design eye’: to help deliver tip-tier front-end interfaces.
- Bilingualism: French / English

- Salary: Starting at $70,000 per year, with room to negotiate based on experience and qualifications.
