Line Manager: Sales & Marketing Director
Centurion is a leading provider of above the neck Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) committed to ensuring the safety, sustainability, and driving market change. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced National Account Manager to join our team and drive our UK business forward.
Main Purpose of Role:
The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing key national accounts within the PPE sector. This role involves providing strategic support and mentoring to two Field Sales Managers in the UK, ensuring they achieve their sales targets and professional development goals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Achieve year-on-year growth in key accounts by at least 10%
- Sales Strategy: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market growth.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Provide guidance, support, and mentoring UK Field Sales Managers, fostering their growth and ensuring they meet their sales objectives.
- Market Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends. Gather and collate voice of customer to support the development of new products.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market conditions to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service teams, to ensure a cohesive approach to account management.
- Negotiation: Handle contract negotiations, terms and price adjustments
- Presentations, Deliver impactful presentations and pitches to Buyers, Category Managers and Directors
- Performance Management: Drive sales and gross margin growth to achieve budget.
Personal Specification
Educational Qualifications Required:
- Relevant industry qualifications such as ISOH Managing Safety desired but not essential
- Degree educated desired but not essential
- Good level of education with IT literacy in Excel & Microsoft Office Suite essential
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years in Regional Sales and or as a National Account Manager role with a strong track record of driving revenue and margin growth
- PPE Sector Expertise: Experience in safety products and/or PPE Sector is highly desirable.
- Sales Excellence: Demonstrated ability to sell based on product attributes rather than price.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with B2B multi-step distribution models.
- Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM systems,(ideally D365, PowerBI )
- Analytical and organisational skills: Strong ability to analyse data, manage multiple priorities, and execute efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, client-relation skills with exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels
- Dynamic and creative problem-solving abilities

Location / Travel:
- Home based and National Travel throughout the UK and able to travel to the wider European market and the UK when required.
- Will need to be in the Thetford office when required which is expected to be Quarterly.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
