Java Software Engineer (Remote)

We are currently seeking a Java Developer to work remotely and join our team supporting one of our Federal clients.

Responsibilities:

– Provide design and implementation expertise to a cross-functional software development team.

– Design and develop software applications from business requirements in collaboration with other team members.

– Support testing and remediate defects.

– May mentor entry and mid-level developers.

– Involved in the entire development life cycle including concept, design, and quality assurance testing.

– Design and develop end-to-end solutions for Java-based web applications.

– Participate in requirements gathering and solution design through JAD sessions to document the technical design approach for the development team.

– Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

– Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

-5-7 years of related experience is required.

-Core Java, Struts 2 MVC, JSP, Spring

– Angular 16 or higher

– Building and consuming SOAP and REST web Services

– Hibernate, Java Persistence API (JPA), HTML/CSS

– Basic to Intermediate SQL skills – SQL Server preferred.

– Basic experience with Active Directory.

Additional Requirements:

-Must be eligible to Obtain Government Clearance.

-Must currently reside in the U.S.

-Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

-Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.

-Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance.

-Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.

Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.

Salary: $98,000.00 – $108,000.00
