Job Overview
As a key player in our organization, the Sr Category Manager will leverage extensive experience in healthcare services pricing models and operations to drive strategic initiatives. This role includes the management of sourcing events, negotiation of commercial terms with vendors, and preparation of essential contract documentation, including MSA, SaaS, and SOWs. You will also oversee vendor onboarding, maintain precise reports of ongoing projects, and contribute to the development of improved operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing events while cultivating strong vendor relationships and facilitating internal and external communications.
- Lead negotiations regarding commercial terms with vendors, ensuring thorough preparation of contract documents and evaluation of contract stipulations.
- Coordinate the vendor onboarding process across departments, including security, IT, finance, and legal.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of in-process work.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendor teams.
- Design and implement innovative procedures and training programs aimed at process enhancement.
Required Skills
- In-depth understanding of healthcare services pricing models.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Workday.
- Experience with contracting tools such as Cobblestone is advantageous.
- Familiarity with drafting and modifying various contract types (MSAs, SaaS, SOWs) is essential.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in a relevant field, or alternatively, 7 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity.
- Previous Healthcare Payor experience is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively negotiate pricing and report project statuses.
