Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality technical studies and environmental documentation, including Biological Resource Assessments and biological CEQA/NEPA analyses.
- Determine optimal permitting pathways for complex projects and prepare necessary technical studies for application submissions.
- Conduct essential fieldwork such as stream/wetland delineations for biological documentation.
- Lead intricate biological permitting projects under regulatory frameworks like the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act.
- Independently manage medium to large-scale projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Oversee project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while serving as the primary liaison for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical guidance to staff and subcontractors, ensuring quality assurance and control of technical reports.
- Engage in client outreach to foster relationships and secure new business opportunities, including proposal writing and cost estimation.
Required Skills
- A minimum of six years of progressive and successful experience in environmental consulting, encompassing technical work, project management, and business development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, or a PhD with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to supervise staff, develop solutions, and cultivate positive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Expertise in biological resource assessments, botanical and wildlife species surveys, wetland delineations, CRAM assessments, regulatory permitting, restoration planning, and mitigation monitoring.
- Experience with utility, energy, water, or transportation projects is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, or a PhD with at least four years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of six years of progressive and successful experience in environmental consulting across technical, project management, and business development.

Compensation And Benefits
The base salary range for this full-time role is (84,000 – )138,000, complemented by benefits and potential bonuses. Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and relevant experience.
