Key Responsibilities
- Employ internal and external systems to address curative issues that may impede transaction closures.
- Analyze title defects such as property line discrepancies, absent titleholders, liens, and judgments.
- Review chains of title to identify and rectify defects effectively.
- Work in partnership with the closing department to ensure accurate payouts at closing.
- Order deeds for vesting changes when necessary to guarantee timely transactions.
- Assess and clear files to facilitate successful closures.
- Comprehend and evaluate more complex files including Trusts and plat maps.
- Review releases to assess the eligibility of lien omission.
- Collaborate with external creditors regarding judgment and child support liens.
- Analyze the validity of Attorney Title Opinion Letters and communicate findings as required.
Required Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in title and escrow, demonstrating a track record of success.
- Outstanding communication abilities via various channels including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Proficient multitasking skills and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of title insurance, regulatory standards, and legal documentation.
- Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service.
- Positive, driven attitude with the ability to function seamlessly as part of a team.
- Proficiency in navigating different software programs and utilizing company-provided educational resources.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of title and escrow experience is required.
