Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical assistance to partner organizations to enhance their capacities.
- Facilitate and lead training sessions for stakeholders.
- Develop and produce various written materials such as outreach documents and policy briefs.
- Organize and coordinate workgroups with relevant stakeholders.
- Execute strategies involving legislative advocacy, data analysis, and policy research that support youth housing initiatives.
- Collaborate with public agencies, school districts, and community organizations to advance project goals.
- Present initiative objectives at conferences and public events.
- Supervise data collection processes and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Engage with program funders and compile grant reports on a regular basis.
- Maintain open and professional communication with all team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive team dynamic and uphold a safe work environment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in team discussions.
- Complete other assigned duties as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Familiarity with child welfare, foster care systems, or related social services.
- Understanding of the state legislative process and experience in advocacy.
- Ability to establish and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
- Dedication to the organization’s mission and values.
- Willingness to travel for work-related obligations, including occasional overnight trips.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in providing technical assistance, training, and/or advocacy within the social services sector.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

Compensation And Benefits
- Employment Type: Full-time exempt position.
- Salary Range: (79,000 – )91,000, commensurate with experience.
- Schedule: Work remotely with anticipated travel within California 1-2 times monthly. Candidates based in Sacramento, Los Angeles, or the Bay Area are preferred. Flexibility may be required for evening and weekend events.
