Backend Engineer (Remote)

You will work closely with our development and operations teams to enhance our continuous integration and deployment pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and optimize backend performance. The ideal candidate looks objectively for the best solution, can justify their decisions and stand by them. Day-to-Day

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, product management, and compliance teams to ensure projects align with business goals and adhere to compliance standards.
• Product Development Support: Assist in the testing and deployment of new products and features, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality delivery.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain and update existing software applications as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure minimal disruption.
• Data Storage Solutions: Conceptualize and implement effective solutions for data storage, ensuring scalability and security.
• Technology Monitoring: Stay informed about new and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on our DevOps processes and product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role
• We have an international team. You have to be English fluent for now (has to be able to write and speak, doesn’t have to be advanced)

Required experience in:

• Azure Cloud: Proficient knowledge of Azure Cloud services
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Cloud Platforms: Strong skills needed in Azure, basic knowledge needed in AWS, & GCP
• Version Control & Collaboration: (GitHub mainly, other GitOps)
• DevOps Tools: Experience with at least one CI/CD tool (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) or monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Security: Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices & Hasicorp Vault
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with Grafana, Prometheus & Sentry tools

Experience with the following is also highly desirable:

• Containers & Orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, NET Aspire)
• Dapr
• C# / Backend experience
• Performance optimization or cost management for cloud environments
• Experience with service meshes
