Bilingual Underwriting Assistant (Remote)

As an Underwriting Assistant a typical day might include:

• Reviewing underwriting details for new and existing accounts against various binding authorities
• Ensuring Axis’ policies and procedures are compliant with various binding authorities
• Creating rate sheets, referring risks as needed, engaging in new and renewal negotiations, and issuing policy documents in compliance with various binding authorities.
• Quoting new and renewal terms to Account Executives and Account Managers
• Completing and submitting bordereaux monthly for each of the binding authorities, investigating discrepancies as needed
• Participating in audits as required

Must haves:

• Fluent in French & English
• At least 6 months’ of Commercial Insurance experience
• General Salesperson Level I Insurance license through the Insurance Council of BC

You want a leg up?

• CAIB, CIP, or CRM insurance designation
• Experience using the Epic broker management system
