Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Steer the development of affordable housing initiatives, supervising all phases from design through to construction.
- Collaboration: Partner with the real estate development team to establish project objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks while identifying and mitigating risks.
- Site Planning: Conduct preliminary feasibility analyses and assess zoning and code requirements to facilitate project planning.
- Consultant Management: Draft and disseminate RFQs and RFPs, coordinate consultant selection, and liaise with external consultants, including architects and general contractors.
- Design Oversight: Direct the design process, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other experts to ensure alignment with project goals and schedules.
- Construction Supervision: Manage the construction phase, tracking project progress, resolving issues, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Quality & Compliance: Uphold exceptional standards in document management, budget adherence, and quality assurance throughout project lifecycles.
- Communication & Reporting: Facilitate project meetings, provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders, and maintain open and effective communication across teams.
- Future-Forward Leadership: Serve as an innovative team leader, encouraging creative solutions and continuous improvement.
- Additional Responsibilities: Conduct site visits, oversee vendors and subcontractors, manage project milestones, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated success in delivering multifaceted projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Comprehensive understanding of project planning and management methodologies.
- Proficiency in various project management software and tools.
- Strong organizational capabilities with keen attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective leadership and teamwork.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager on multifamily or commercial projects; experience in affordable housing is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
