What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Design, build, and operate highly scalable APIs and full-stack solutions that impact millions of travelers
• Develop back-end features in a fast-paced, data-driven, and AGILE product lifecycle
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and best practices across the organization
• Collaborate closely with fellow engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure alignment

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Strong drive to explore unknown codebases while focusing on delivering results quickly
• Solid product thinking with a customer-centered approach to quality
• Experience with or willingness to learn distributed system development in Scala
• Ability to build robust systems capable of handling large transaction volumes and user bases
• Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with GCP, GKE, and various database technologies used in distributed systems
• Experience with data-driven decision-making and AB testing in product development
