Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of affordable housing initiatives, managing all facets from initial design through to construction completion.
- Collaborate with the real estate development team to establish project objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks, while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Perform feasibility studies and assess zoning and code stipulations to support effective project planning.
- Draft and disseminate RFQs and RFPs, coordinate the consultant selection process, and liaise with third-party professionals including architects and general contractors.
- Oversee the design process, ensuring alignment between architects, engineers, and project goals.
- Supervise construction activities, tracking progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Uphold rigorous standards in documentation, budget management, and quality assurance throughout all project phases.
- Facilitate project meetings, deliver timely updates to clients and stakeholders, and foster transparent communication across all teams.
- Embrace a forward-thinking leadership role, encouraging innovation and continual enhancement of processes.
- Conduct site inspections, manage subcontractors, oversee project milestones, and perform additional duties as required.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in successfully delivering multifaceted projects on schedule and within budget.
- Deep understanding of project planning and management principles.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager or Construction Manager within multifamily or commercial sectors; experience in affordable housing is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
