Join a dynamic and innovative organization as a Remote Food Quality Assurance Supervisor. In this pivotal role, you will engage directly with senior management at a rapidly expanding company known for its cutting-edge product offerings. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality benchmarks.
- Analyze consumer feedback to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
- Generate and present monthly quality reports and suggestions for improvement to senior management and co-manufacturers.
- Evaluate supplier performance using an established Quality Scorecard.
- Guarantee that all finished products adhere to designated quality criteria.
- Execute audits for co-manufacturers, third-party logistics (3PL), and suppliers.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence among our partners.
- Assist in supporting third-party certifications, such as Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, and Kosher.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service department to resolve quality and food safety inquiries.
- Lead initiatives focused on internal and external quality improvement, including process optimization and corrective actions.
- Investigate quality-related issues, pinpoint root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
- Manage the Recall and Crisis Management Policy, serving as a liaison with the FDA.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Food Safety Regulations and Standards (including FDA, FSVP, GMP, FSMA, HACCP, GFSI).
- Proven experience with Non-GMO Project Verification and relevant certifications (FSPCA PCQI & FSVP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Food Science, Food Safety, or Quality Management; an advanced technical degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience within the food and beverage sector.
- At least 5-10 years of experience leading quality initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a corporate Quality Assurance role that includes executing processes and conducting audits.
- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a proven track record in leading initiatives.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestic and international).
