Essential Job Functions:
Project Leadership and Management: Lead and manage end-to-end IT transition and transformation projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders and business leaders. Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, milestones, and budgets. Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring each project stays within scope, on schedule, and meets business requirements. Ensure alignment of project goals with the broader organizational strategy, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors. Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders, providing regular status updates, risk assessments, and ensuring alignment on key milestones. Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed throughout the transition process, from planning to post-implementation.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively manage project risks, providing solutions to obstacles and ensuring that issues are resolved swiftly to avoid project delays. Track and report on project risks and issues, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
Transition and Transformation Planning: Oversee the transition of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and services to new environments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Manage the transformation of business processes, technology stacks, and organizational structures as part of digital transformation initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that all aspects of the transition are adequately planned and executed, including resource planning, capacity, and training needs.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure timely project delivery. Facilitate collaboration among IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure successful transition and transformation outcomes. Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the project teams.
Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints. Ensure that project resources, including personnel, technology, and infrastructure, are allocated appropriately to meet project demands. Monitor project expenses and adjust resource allocation as necessary to stay within budget.
Quality Assurance and Deliverables: Oversee the quality of project deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements and high standards of excellence. Ensure that testing, validation, and post-transition support plans are in place to verify the success of the transition and transformation. Ensure continuous improvement of processes, leveraging lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project execution.
Post-Implementation Support and Continuous Improvement: Oversee the post-implementation phase, ensuring that projects are fully stabilized and operational, and that business teams have the necessary support. Identify opportunities for ongoing improvements in IT systems, processes, and services post-transition, ensuring continued alignment with evolving business needs.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear and concise project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, risk logs, and change management logs. Generate reports and dashboards for senior leadership to track project progress, milestones, and overall success. Conduct post-project reviews, analyzing outcomes, challenges, and lessons learned to inform future initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
9+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT transitions, digital transformations, and system migrations.
Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex IT transformation and transition projects, including IT infrastructure, cloud migrations, and digital technology upgrades.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and IT service management processes.
Familiarity with tools and technologies used for managing IT projects (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana, etc.).
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
ITIL certification or experience with ITIL-based processes.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and associated migrations.
Experience with VMWare based server migrations & Data Center Consolidation projects
Knowledge of business process re-engineering and organizational change management.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
Understanding of network connectivity and firewall dependancies on data and server migration

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work quality
