As a company committed to excellence and innovation, we seek a passionate and results-driven Social Media Manager to elevate our online presence and connect with our growing community. This position is primarily remote, but applicants must be located in Orange County, Los Angeles or San Diego and able to travel to photoshoots within the OC/LA area.

About the Role

The Social Media Manager will lead the strategy, content creation, and management of Gorilla Mind’s social media channels. This role shapes the brand’s voice, fosters engagement, and drives growth across platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media management and content marketing and a deep understanding of the fitness, health, and wellness industry.

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Creation:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to align with brand goals and campaigns.
  • Create engaging and visually compelling content, including graphics, videos, and copy tailored to each platform.
  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Creative and innovative thinking, always seeking new ways to engage and delight our audiences.
  • Create monthly content calendars that are in line with business requirements.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Actively engage with followers, promptly responding to comments, DMs, and inquiries.
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and brand advocates.
  • Analytics & Optimization:
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversion rates, etc.) to refine strategies.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on social media performance, fan engagement, and key insights for senior management.
  • Campaign Management:
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to support product launches, promotions, and other key initiatives.
  • Develop platform-specific strategies and campaigns, establish a unique brand voice, and engage audiences across key social platforms.
  • Coordinate with paid media teams for integrated campaigns and advertising efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of proven experience in social media management, preferably in the fitness, health, or wellness industry.
  • Proficiency in major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter/X) and social media management tools.
  • Exceptional content creation skills, including photography, videography, and graphic design.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and community building.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into action

Location: Remote but must be located in Orange County, Los Angeles or the San Diego area.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per year depending on experience. The totel compensation package may include performance bonuses, benefits, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
