We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in the FMCG sector for a 6-month contract based in Dubai. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and the efficient processing of transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to maintain financial integrity and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities:
– Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
– Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
– Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance.
– Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
– Support the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
– Collaborate with the finance team to implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures.
– Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and making recommendations.
– Respond to inquiries from management and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
– Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
– Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both physically and electronically.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the FMCG sector.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as local tax laws and regulations.
– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
– Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
– Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, showing flexibility and resilience.
– Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Salary:
AED 9,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
