Organization: Baker’s Quality Pizza Crusts is a mid-sized family-owned food manufacturing company located in Waukesha, WI. We specialize in premium quality parbaked and fresh frozen pizza crusts, dough balls, breadsticks and sandwich bread. The company was founded in 1997 and is currently owned and operated by second generation siblings, Anne and Chris.
Job Summary: The Account Executive is responsible for maintaining our current business and building new business. They will work with our current food broker and distributors to handle customer requests and complaints. They will build a portfolio of new and potential business that aligns with the company’s growth goals. The territory for this position includes an established market in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Florida with growth opportunities throughout the East Coast. Applicants must reside in the eastern Midwest.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Work with our current food brokers and respond to requests for samples and account information. Schedule regular ride alongs with the brokers as well as quarterly trainings for regional sales groups.
2. Schedule and participate in sales meetings with our distributors.
3. Be the point of contact for distributor sales people for samples and product information.
4. Assist in negotiating yearly marketing agreements with distributors.
5. Set-up, break down and work all regional and national food show.
6. Follow-up on food show leads.
7. Service existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on potential sales outlets.
8. Manage customer service visits for current customers. Respond to inquiries and offer suggestions for additional products.
9. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques.
10. Resolve customer complaints to the best of your ability by investigating problems, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
11. Submit weekly reports of hours worked, mileage and sales call results.
Essential Functions:
1. Must have a valid U.S Drivers License
2. Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally
3. Ability to use a computer
4. A working knowledge of the foodservice industry and competition
5. Ability to create and deliver presentations
6. Frequent travel throughout the Midwest and East Coast
7. Occasional travel throughout the Country
Requirements:
1. 5+ years experience in direct food sales as a manufacturer rep or broker
2. Basic knowledge of the Pizza and /or Baking Industry
Compensation:
· Base Salary
· Commission
