Job Description
Join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as a field-based Account Executive. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales leadership to shape our go-to-market sales strategy and introduce groundbreaking technology for cancer screening. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for effectively promoting our colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy to healthcare providers in primary care settings. We seek someone who acts with urgency and passion, dedicated to delivering innovative products for early cancer detection.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Prospect and Engage: Identify and target healthcare providers to maximize the use of our SHIELD test for CRC and other cancers.
Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed sales objectives while effectively managing promotional budgets and executing our national sales strategy.
Drive Collaboration: Foster strategic business relationships with primary care providers and their practices to support mutual growth.
Develop Business Plans: Create and implement business strategies that align with brand goals to support product launches.
Partner with Laboratories: Identify and collaborate with national, regional, and local labs to establish phlebotomy agreements and train staff on specimen collection and workflow.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about the competitive landscape, identifying trends and sharing insights with our leadership team.
Strategic Planning: Develop detailed plans for gaining and retaining both new and existing clients.
Manage Promotions: Implement promotional activities that support our sales and marketing strategies while adhering to industry standards and company policies.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work effectively with individuals across various departments to achieve company objectives.
Embody Company Culture: Represent our values and culture in all interactions, both internally and externally.
Field-Based Role: Travel daily within your assigned territory and occasionally for regional or national meetings.
Uphold Values: Promote accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork throughout your work.
Quality Management Compliance: Support and adhere to our Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years in a customer-facing sales role within the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals) with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities, coupled with superior listening and problem-solving skills.
Consultative Selling: Ability to engage in a consultative selling process, effectively addressing objections and aligning client needs with our capabilities.
Market Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the market, customers, distribution channels, and product offerings to achieve sales objectives.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service capabilities.
Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrate the ability to develop and utilize relationships across departments to achieve work goals.
Self-Motivated: Work independently with proactive communication, managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Administrative Proficiency: Strong administrative skills to navigate complex environments; proficient in in-person, phone, and virtual sales interactions.
Technology Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva).
Positive Attitude: Act with integrity, respect, and trust, demonstrating a positive outlook and understanding of organizational growth dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with sales and marketing of diagnostic products (blood-based testing or phlebotomy) to primary care providers.
Experience in product launch planning and execution.
Familiarity with the primary care landscape in your territory.
High-touch customer service skills.
Personal Requirements
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for field visits.
Ability to meet specific access requirements for doctor offices and health clinics.
Willingness to travel daily throughout the territory as needed.
Additional Information
The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 to $133,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, commissions, or equity. Pay is determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and education.
Candidates may need to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. While most work is performed in an office environment, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard materials in laboratory settings. Ability to sit for extended periods is required.
