Olex AI is a dynamic, innovative and BETT Award-winning EdTech startup specialising in cutting-edge generative AI tools for Primary and Secondary schools in the UK and abroad. With a rapidly expanding user base both in the UK and internationally, we are now seeking a motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team and help us continue our growth and success.
Job Summary
As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our account management and development initiatives and expanding our market share within the UK schools market. Your main objective will be to develop and execute effective account management strategies, supporting the new business development team, foster lasting relationships with key business clients, and consistently meet or exceed established account retention and development targets.
This role requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in B2B sales, ideally (but not essential) within the EdTech space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic Account Management and development plans to hit company sales targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Manage the relationship with allocated customer accounts, being responsible for their successful onboarding; ensuring that they are achieving their objectives in the use of the tool/service; meet retention & development targets for key accounts.
- Identify new sales opportunities through networking and work with sales team to turn them into long-term partnerships.
- Provide professional after-sales support, onboarding and training.
- Support the new business development team in pitching and selling our AI EdTech platform to primary, secondary and FE schools in the UK and occasionally internationally.
- Travel throughout the UK for on-site pitches and events
- Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction and to maintain the company’s reputation.
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
- Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams regarding customer needs and concerns.
Key Skills
- Proven experience as a B2B sales executive, preferably with at least 5 years in sales or account management roles, ideally within the EdTech or related technology sectors.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- High energy self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team but also work confidently remote
- Preferably: experience in selling to the primary and secondary education sector within the UK and understanding its unique challenges and opportunities.
- Strong ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Full UK driving licence
