Rate: $1,800 – $4,000 monthly / $21,600 – $48,000 annually

What You’ll Do

As the Account Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the satisfaction and success of the company’s clients. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships while proactively driving account growth and delivering excellent service. Your role will involve strategic planning, client coordination, and performance monitoring to meet and exceed client needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless service and improve client relations. Your responsibilities will include:

Account Management and Client Relationships:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, focusing on understanding client needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all client communications, ensuring timely and effective handling of inquiries and requests.
  • Cultivate connections with stakeholders within client organizations, from corporate-level contacts to operational team members, to ensure comprehensive engagement and support.
  • Monitor the health and status of assigned accounts, proactively addressing any potential concerns to improve client satisfaction and ensure retention.
  • Develop tailored strategies with clients to align with their objectives, driving mutual success and building rapport.

Account Growth and Expansion:

  • Identify high-potential accounts, developing strategies to transition them into strategic partnerships focusing on long-term growth.
  • Pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities, creating strategic plans to increase client spending and revenue across multiple client locations.
  • Implement referral and channel partner strategies to convert warm leads into new business, optimizing opportunities for incremental growth.
  • Conduct Spend Analysis Questionnaires (SAQs) annually to understand competing spending patterns and identify areas for expansion.

Project Coordination and Service Delivery:

  • Act as the quarterback for client initiatives, coordinating efforts across multiple departments (sales, product, support) to deliver seamless project execution.
  • Ensure all client requirements are met within agreed service levels, coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely and effective solutions.
  • Provide clients with ongoing training and support on product features and usage to maximize the value they receive from our solutions.
  • Gather client feedback and work closely with internal teams to drive product and service improvements that address client needs and enhance overall satisfaction.

Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

  • Regularly assess account performance metrics, client satisfaction, and feedback to identify improvement areas and drive growth.
  • Collaborate internally to collect and relay client feedback to relevant teams, advocating for client needs to enhance products and services.

What You Should Have

Must-haves:

  • At least four years of experience as a Strategic Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Client Services Manager, Sales Assistant or similar role in managing high-value client accounts with demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic account plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • At least two years of experience working remotely with clients/companies from the US, UK, CAN, and/or AU.
  • Experience in a dynamic small business environment, where process changes and opportunities are frequent, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain professional client relationships, establishing trust and rapport as a reliable advisor.
  • Demonstrated success in driving B2B Partnerships and account growth, consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets through upselling and cross-selling strategies.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, making it easy for clients to understand and engage with your solutions.
  • Expertise in negotiating deals and managing contract renewals, ensuring mutual benefits while securing long-term partnerships.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess client issues, identify areas for improvement, and provide tailored solutions that add value to the client’s business.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple client accounts and tasks efficiently, ensuring timely execution of all responsibilities.
  • Experience using a CRM (Zoho preferably).
