About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the sales team at Whelan Kartaway as an Account Manager / Sales Representative. Based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, this is a full-time role where you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing client accounts as well as sourcing new business opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to both new and existing clients
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to secure new business
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide excellent customer service and resolve any client issues
  • Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and sales activities
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s sales and marketing strategies

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in an account management or sales representative role, ideally within the B2B sales environment
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills to secure new business
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a pipeline of opportunities and competing priorities
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing or a related field are preferred
