Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships and programs to support strategic direction and organizational objectives. The Vice President, Client Partner works with the cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of the best possible service and effective communications to client. Critical success factors include identifying new opportunities and management of the team members to execute driving quality and margin. This position requires up to 30% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel is international.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for pharmaceutical clients in the R&D (clinical research) space to help them achieve their goals
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Deliver work as outlined, on budget and on schedule
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
- Monitor account performance and report on key metrics.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.
- Conduct regular business reviews with senior leadership internally and externally with clients.
- Develop and deliver presentations to clients.
- Participate in industry events and conferences.
- Maintain accurate records of account activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management.
- Contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing, or related field
- At least 10 years’ experience in clinical research, either in-house at a biopharmaceutical company or for a vendor who serves the biopharmaceutical industry (deep understanding of the drug development process, specifically clinical trials)
- Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes
- Strategic and analytical thinker with experience in project and financial management
- Ability to work with a team or independently as needed
- Technically savvy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CRM software
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Excellent client service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional presentation skills
- Strong team leader
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
