Accounts Receivable Supervisor | Moir Group | Australia

This leading multinational has extensive operations globally and a large and successful distribution business here in Australia. This has been driven by acquisitions and organic growth.
Position
Reporting directly to the Credit Manager, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor will lead a team of collection officers, overseeing day-to-day operations, providing leadership, mentoring, assisting with recruitment, and managing escalations within the Retail collection team. There is also scope for process improvement and streamlining of processes.Â
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving financial goals and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure timely contact with customers to secure commitment for invoice payments in accordance with agreed terms.
- Oversee the efficient processing of all received payments, adhering to the organization’s accounting policies.
- Engage with customers via telephone/email to identify reasons for overdue payments, facilitating resolution.
- Document conversations with customers to maintain accurate records and contribute to the reduction of aged debt.
- Collaborate closely with the Credit Manager on Accounts Receivable projects to enhance outcomes.
Profile
Prior experience in collections/debt recovery is essential or in a Senior AR Officer/ Supervisor role. Additionally,
- A minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or distribution industry and an AICM qualification is preferred.
- Prior people management experience or the ability to step up to a team leader role.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with interruptions and without sacrificing accuracy or attention to detail.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.Â
- Focussed, with proven attention to detail.Â
- Experience on a computerised accounting system preferably PRONTO. Experience with Ms Office programs.
This position requires a proactive approach to credit management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to contribute to strategic projects aimed at improving overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Benefits
Salary on offer is $95,000 + $5,000 bonus + superannuation, plus a range of other benefits including flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
