We are presenting a European HQ-based company in the automotive sector to appoint an Aftermarket Manager in Thailand. This role reports to the APAC commercial manager based in Australia and is an independent contributor role.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Define aftermarket business plan and strategies in the designated market, responsible for the implementation.
- Identify sales, and business development opportunities and develop execution plans including new projects development.
- Participate in the development of annual budget and 5 years strategic plan for the designated area in line with aftermarket Global and Regional direction.
- Define and manage local distribution channel strategy including multi-layer channel penetrations, evaluate customers’ status and options, make sure the performance of customers’ sales can meet company’s expectation.
- Propose targets in terms of sales, m/s and profitability, set a commercial strategy to achieve them and follow them up.
- Ensure Yearly and ad-hoc negotiations with customers over terms and conditions and commercial / marketing policies under the supervision both of GBU and Country managements.
- Manage and support product and trade marketing activities in close coordination with region’s central marketing team.
- Order and shipment coordination and other commercial administrative activities between local customers and supply chain service.
- Provide regular sales forecast with accuracy.
- Manage, maintain and develop strategic business relationship with customers, dealers and key garage and retail chains in responsible area through regular and irregular visits and communications.
- Obtains and reports on the assigned area-wide general industry and competitors information and conditions / pricing, market activity.
- Act on behalf of aftermarket local ambassador to customers and industry.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in mechanical / sales & marketing / business management background
- Professional experience and track record:
- 10+ years working experience of distribution business sales role or Parts supplier experience in automotive industry. Brake system parts knowledge highly preferred.
- Strong sales/ business acumen with good understanding of local market.
- Price and quotation management skills in various channel/ customer segments.
Other specific knowledge/skills/capabilities:
- Strong presentation skills and social relationship skills especially.
- Insights and experiences in multi-cultural environment with international mind.
- Sounds understanding to marketing, finance and logistics knowledge.
- Data analytical skills and reporting skills.
- Can work independently and under pressure.
Others: Proficient knowledge in MS office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Language: Needs to be fluent in English (written & spoken)
