Ai Engineer (Remote)

About the Role:

As an AI Engineer 2 at Meraken, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions from the ground up. You will work on a range of projects that require you to apply your expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and data science to solve complex problems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, proven experience in building AI solutions from scratch, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of AI models and algorithms for various applications, from concept to deployment.
• Work with large datasets, perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare data for model training.
• Train, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models to achieve high performance and accuracy.
• Implement AI models in production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers, to integrate AI solutions into products.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI research, tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve existing solutions or create new ones.
• Document AI processes, models, and outcomes, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior AI Engineers and team members.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Experience Required:

• 3-5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong track record of building and deploying AI models from scratch.

Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, with a focus on AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and tools for deploying AI models.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, GANs), and natural language processing (NLP).
• Experience with data processing tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and data visualization libraries.
• Familiarity with software development practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
