Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sophisticated cost reporting tools.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure cloud expenditures align with operational requirements.
• Provide expert insights on FinOps best practices to stakeholders.
• Analyze complex cloud cost structures to identify savings and implement effective cost management strategies.
• Present financial findings to leadership through Cloud Governance boards and cross-portfolio channels.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in cloud financial management, specifically in cost optimization.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting applicable to cloud services and licenses.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to create detailed financial reports and analyze spending patterns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) Financial Management.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud financial management focusing on cost optimization strategies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
• A Secret clearance is mandatory for this position.
