We are looking for an Android Developer with a passion for building high-quality, scalable, and performant mobile applications. You should be a strong team player with a growth mindset, eager to contribute to the continuous improvement of our Android app by implementing new features, creating libraries, and improving architectural practices. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from feature implementation to ensuring the overall quality of releases.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Implement new features for our Android mobile app to enhance the student experience.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Backend Developers, QA, and Designers to create seamless integrations and functionalities.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for Android phones and tablets.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Propose architectural and tooling improvements to accelerate and optimize releases.
• Create and manage libraries to support cross-functional requirements across the app.
• Ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes are implemented effectively.
• Troubleshoot issues and bugs, ensuring timely resolutions to maintain app stability.

Who You Are

• Strong background in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Extensive experience developing Android applications with Jetpack and other Android components.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming language.
• Knowledge of mobile architectures such as MVVM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in building applications for both phones and tablets.
• Ability to design scalable, high-performance applications and solutions.
• Solid understanding of security practices and coding standards.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with a team-player mentality and a growth mindset.
• Strong documentation and testing practices to ensure code quality.
• Intermediate conversational English (B1 or higher), with the ability to comfortably communicate in work-related conversations.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with the end-to-end mobile development lifecycle.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment with an emphasis on experimentation.
• A passion for improving the overall mobile user experience and staying updated with the latest Android technologies.
